Overviewįityk is a Open Source software in the category Education developed by Marcin Wojdyr. The most similar program to Fityk is probably PeakFit. It is being developed to analyze powder diffraction patterns, but is also used in chromatography, photoluminescence, infrared, and Raman spectroscopy, and can be used to fit analytical functions to any kind of data. It also enables background substracting, data calibration, and task automation with a simple script language. It knows about many functions (mostly bell-shaped, like Gaussian, Loretzian, Pearson 7, Voigt, Pseudo-Voigt, and Doniach-Sunjic) and user-defined functions can be easily added. It allows data visualization, separation of overlapping peaks, and least squares fitting using standard Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm, a genetic algorithm, or Nelder-Mead simplex method.

  • Peak fitting to either Voigt or LogNormal line shapes.Fityk is nonlinear curve-fitting and data analysis software.
  • Open spectral and Image Kratos VMS Files.
  • Multivariate analysis and preprocessing of spectral data.
  • GUI for Multivariate Image Analysis of Multispectral Images.
  • We appreciate some people use Matlab for data analysis, below are some additions that we are aware of which may be of use
  • Quases-ARXPS by Sven Tougaard – Commercial Software.
  • ARXPS Version 7.1 by Royston Paynter (MS Excel).

Note some of these require older versions of windows or office – we recommend running these in virtual machines which can be configured according to the software requirements. It is this this, we link to / provide downloads for such software which users may find useful. However, over the years a number of packages, which are still widley used, have been released, but lost in the ever changing face of the internet. Many software packages such as CasaXPS, or those from the instrument manufacturers allow analysis of ARXPS data and reconstruction of depth information. Over the years, a great deal of effort has been made in to getting the most out of ARXPS data. RxpsG – New software written in the scientific programming language R, follow the instructions from the linked paper for its use.ĬOMPRO – XPS and AES data analysis package from the Surface Analysis Society of Japan. This software is commercial but a limited demo version is available.įitYK – for data processing and nonlinear curve fitting of all data types Ronald Hesse, can also handle Raman data. Software for spectroscopy data measurement and processing. KolXPD – Commercial software with time limited trial. Not a feature rich as CasaXPS or similar, but still widely used. XPSPeak v4.1 – No longer supported, but widely used peak fitting software. This is particularly useful for evalulating nanostrucutres and alloys SESSA – Now free! Software from NIST to synthesise XPS spectra.

NIST Electron Inelastic Mean Free Path Database – NIST software providing IMFPs for use in quantitative XPS and AES surface analyses NIST Electron Effective Attenuation Length Database – NIST software to determine electron effective attenuation lengths (EALs) in solid elements and compounds Quases-IMFP – Free software by Sven Tougaard for determingin the electron mean free paths Quases-Tougaard – Commercial software by Sven Tougaard for modelling layered and nano-structure spectra Can also handle Raman, NEXAFS and any other (even irregular step) data such as Solid State NMR or UV-Vis data. Note this is commercial, but a demo version is available.
